The Golden Braid is evolving. What began as a dream for the original owner—of creating a shop in Salt Lake City where community members could gather and access books and products that would enrich their lives—has become a fixture in the city.

 

The Braid has evolved from a tiny shop on Broadway to a beautifully constructed site on 5th East which is also home to our sister restaurant, Oasis Café. The hours and menu at Oasis have expanded to include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are still available and the Chef has also added a few responsibly-sourced meat options.

 

The things that have not changed are our commitment to diversity in our book and product selections, dedication to fair trade and ethically-sourced items, and pledge of environmentally sustainable practices.
